Financial markets today sit at a delicate intersection. Viewed separately, each trend carries risk. But together, they create the conditions for a world where even a modest asset-price correction can be amplified into something far larger.

Modern financial markets remain fundamentally resilient. But the combination of elevated valuations and the growing presence of algorithmic and AI-driven trading means the next correction—whenever it arrives—could be faster, sharper, and more self-reinforcing than traditional models predict.

In a world where machines can turn ripples into waves, the priority cannot simply be preventing shocks. It must include anticipating and mitigating the amplification mechanisms that convert small disturbances into market-moving events.
